Tournament Information: PDGA B-Tier Sanctioned Course: Pioneers Park Temporary Course! ~Par 58 layout! Registration information (Register at VoloDiscSports.com): Open - $60 Open Women - $55 Pro Masters - $60 Advanced Men - $50 Advanced Masters - $50 Advanced Women - $45 Intermediate Men - $40 Intermediate Women - $35 Recreational - $30 **$10 Discount for Current PDGA Members (Does not apply to Junior division) $5 Ace Fund If no Ace is hit, there will be a throw off for the fund with the three closest players splitting the ace fund 50% (closest), 30% (next closest), 20% (third closest). If two or more players throw into the basket, the ace fund will be divided equally among those two or more only. Jeff B, Andy P, and me were out there today and we're having a meeting tonight. The first draft was 6500 feet, working up the second draft now after a day at the park and we're drawing up options to go from end to end. The designs will need to meet the approval of the park director in case we are too close for comfort on some areas or there might be something scheduled for an area that we don't know about. Thanks for the offer Aaron, that's a cool thing to do.

The October Friz (Winfield, KS) used to feature a thousand feet (ish) monster they'd call the "W'at a Hole." You'd tee from a cliff, over a river, thru a field, and then up a hill. Most of the golfers were ecstatic just to keep it in single digits. It was fun for the novelty.

Posts: 454 Jul 10 12 9:23 PM Reply Quote More My Recent Posts	Walked the course with some other folks tonight and it looks like a pretty fair par 58ish course. The 1000' hole likely won't be much more than 800' after thinking it through some more. But you should expect some long holes that require proper placement for a good upshot. While I understand that some of you "old" guys, as Laverne put it, don't enjoy the longer holes as much, I guarantee that this is not a course where distance potential alone will give anyone an advantage. I won't have alternate tees for any divisions as I believe that it leads to too much confusion to the players, especially on a temp course where the tees are marked by flags and small signs alone. On a permanent course such as the Walk the Plank, it's manageable, but I'd rather not deal with people complaining about being unsure of where to throw from. I really hope that you guys come out and tear into this course. It's a great layout in an awesome park providing you with golf that you don't get in Nebraska very often. Registration should be up within the next couple of days, so get ready to come out and have a blast!
