I'm forgeting his name, but someone was following us around for the SCSO and it would be cool to see those photos up for all to see. Anyone have any idea on how that might happen?

If that was directed at me, don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. A cool thing about disc golf and our courses is the opportunity to experiment.

It's good to have accurate measurements too. At the time, the two courses for the '06 SCSO had both the lowest and highest recorded SSAs.

I enjoy seeing the evolution of the SCSO.

Guess I probably shouldn't say it doesn't challenge golfers, I'm sure it does I just don't see the reasoning to complain about some change and seeing things from a different view or tee.

TanK, do you remember three years ago when people (including pros from out of state) requested the short course on the West side?

I remember it was KS pros who requested the course. They wanted to play the front 9 on roper west. I'm a firm believer in designing a course that challenges all players, both locals and out of staters. IMO, that course does neither.

There are a lot of things that I think went well or better than in the previous years that I attended and there were also things we tried differently that weren't such a big hit. I won't get into my list here; I'll save that for our club meeting, but I hope with more effort and enthusiam we can make next year's SCSO an event that might draw a much bigger group of golfers and maybe even get a few more touring pros to show up as well. {hint, hint, Franks-Boro plug the word for...

I liked the course configuration better, generally. As I said, I wish you had a couple of more deuceable holes.

The friendliest tournament tournament in the midwest doesn't get that way without the hospitality, which generally was good this year, but would be improved with a 2-day event (the party always rocked before this year)

Also, trophies (at least for Ams) are a nice touch that was missing from this year's event that had been there previously.

I enjoyed it more than in previous years, but then haven't played the SCSO since 2002 as an intermediate.

Prize, for me? The Runza coupons are on the table back at home (I'm out of town). Can somebody drop-off the score port and put it on our porch today or early tomorrow? I would like to take it with me when leaving for Plattsmouth Friday night.

Sure, why not. I wasn't saying the previous years were bad. It was just brought up to me several times that certain people were having a better time than they had in past years and that they would love to come back next year because of the fun they had on Saturday. If they had told me they hated it and we made a mistake in trying something new, I would have said that as well. Hopefully we can add to this year's success and make next year better than...

Some enjoyed it less as well Chiz. I am sure people say these things every year.
I think Dom, Adrien and I were just really pleased that it went as smooth as it did.
All things disc golf are still pretty fresh to myself actually, as the 06 SCSO was my first ever tournament, and I had been playing like a year or less then.

Once again It really makes me feel good about my community to see how positive people are at these events, made me feel like it was worth it in the end....

Hopefully everyone had a good enough time that you'll want to come back next year. Yes, we had some minor issues that came up due to Andy, Adrien, & myself taking a chance and trying something different, but it seemed from what people have posted on-line or said to us personally, they generally had a great time and it enjoyed it more than they had in past years. Next year is the 20th Star City Shoot-Out, so if I can help it, it will top anything that's been done here before. Again...

First of all, thanks to all the Lincoln club for running this event. It's always a fun time in Lincoln. Hats off to those who have put in lots of time over the years on this event, including Anita Jackson, Kim Theesen, Andrew Chisholm, Tammy Chisholm, Jon Kemling, Andy Essink, Dominic Sawtelle, Pat Raybould, and probably a lot of people I'm unintentionally leaving out. This year we've got a great one day B-Tier event for everyone. Max 90 Players, 18 holes on the entire grounds of Max E. Roper Park West. With a final 9 for the Pros.
